Manager at dry cleaner and furrier joined RCAF and became WAG. During navigation exercise aboard Hampden P1200, out of No. 32 O.T.U., Patricia Bay, the plane and crew were lost.

Hampden P1200, No. 32 O.T.U., Patricia Bay, BC went missing during a navigation exercise. Navigator P/O William Dishman (154274 RAF), from Burgh le Marsh, Lincolnshire, England, and Pilot Sgt. Ronald Frederick L’Anson Watson (1604441 RAF), from Redhill, Surrey, England, and WAG Sgt. Edward Gerald Quigley (R121291 RCAF), Winnipeg, Manitoba, were killed. “The accident was undoubtedly due to the aircraft running into severe icing conditions.”

All crew member’s names are on the Ottawa War Memorial.
